IYCO WILL CELEBRATE HOLI MILAN FESTIVAL.6TH MARCH.2012 AT NEW DELHI. Holi festival is extremely popular among children, youth and the newly wedded couples. Splashing coloured water, smearing friends with gulal (coloured powder) and tossing water balloons on each other, playing with colours, exchanging Holi gifts, listening to evergreen Holi songs is the order of the day and any offence caused to anyone is washed away. Temples are decorated and Lord Krishna and his consort Radha’s idols are placed on swings and devotees sing Holi Folk songs and worship them. Throughout India Holi is celebrated with fun and excitement. This is a time when enemies turn friends and put colours on each other and say aloud ‘Bura na mano Holi hai’ Playing pranks with newly-wedded couples is the most common thing in Holi.
